Natural Cockles from Galicia. Cockles, or as they are called in Spanish “Berberechos” are canned in salted water. They are commonly eaten as is or sauteed with garlic and white wine. These beautiful little cockles are one of the most sought-after mollusks from the sandbanks of the Galician rivers. They are small and firm in texture, and taste of the sea. They are also both high in calcium and iron.

Keep in a cool, dry place. Once opened, keep refrigerated.

SERVING RECOMMENDATION

Perfect appetizer with a delicious taste and texture which you don’t need to cook, you can eat it straight away and many people like to add a few drops of Spanish Vinegar or lemon to give it a touch of acidity.
