STORAGE & CARE FOR IBRICO HAM BELLOTA
For optimal storage of Iberico Ham Bellota, it is recommended to keep the ham in a cool, dark, and dry place. If you plan to consume it over an extended period, refrigeration will maintain a consistent temperature for longer freshness. However, if you intend to enjoy it within a few days, leaving it outside the refrigerator is also acceptable.
When you’re ready to savor the ham, immerse the unopened package in hot water for about 30 seconds. This process strikes a perfect balance between flavor, aroma, and texture while preserving the ham’s characteristic color and transparency. It also facilitates separating the slices for a delightful display.
Once opened, it is advisable to store the ham in the refrigerator, properly sealed in its original packaging, to prevent excessive drying.
Remove the Iberico Ham Bellota from the fridge approximately 30 minutes before consuming. After 15 minutes, open the package and arrange the slices on a plate. Ideally, the ham should be enjoyed at room temperature, around 24 degrees Celsius.
